Rates
Suitable for professional couple.
October to April - Nightly rate $175 - $220.
May to September - Nightly rate $130.
Minimum stay of 2 nights. Only suitable for up to 4 people.
Dwelling is not suitable for elderly or children (due to stairwell).
Linen is supplied (please wash it before you depart) or you are welcome to bring your own.
50% deposit payable to secure booking, balance is due in full 30 days before arrival.
Terms of Rental
All bookings are subject to our Rental Terms and Conditions below.
Deposit Policy: No reservation will be accepted unless a 50% deposit is made at time of booking. If the holiday booking is made within 30 days of the date of commencement of the holiday the full amount owing on the holiday is required. Deposits are payable by cheque, direct credit or international TT. Bank account details provided when availability is confirmed. Balance of Payment The full amount owing is due 30 days prior to the date of commencement of the holiday. Where full payment has not been received 30 days prior or the start of the rental we reserve the right to cancel the rental.
Goods and Services Tax: Prices listed include any GST and taxes.
Cancellation of Booking: Cancellations made prior to the date of the commencement of the holiday for any reason will forfeit the deposit but not held liable for the balance of hire so long as written notice of the cancellation is received. Cancellations made within 30 days of the commencement of the holiday will be liable for the full balance of payment. It is for this reason you may wish to consider a Holiday Cancellation Insurance Policy.
Changes to Bookings: Alterations to bookings made after payment of the deposit but before payment of the balance of payment will incur forfeiture of the deposit paid. However, at our discretion, if one holiday is cancelled but another one is booked, the deposit may be transferred to the new booking if the new dates are available.
Vehicles and Belongings: All vehicles, baggage and personal belongings are at your risk at all times and Blue Sky Development Trust or its agents can accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to any car or its contents.
Number of Guests: The number of people occupying the property is, under no circumstances, to exceed six. We (and our agent in Tairua) reserve the right to refuse admittance to the property if this condition is not observed. We also have the right to revoke or refuse any bookings that may be in our opinion (and at our sole discretion) be unsuitable for the holiday property concerned, whether at the commencement or during the period of the guests stay.
Credit Card Bond: For all bookings whether paid by Cheque, Cash or Direct Credit, we may require a mandatory Credit Card Bond to cover any damage caused to the holiday home or additional expenses incurred for such items as cleaning and breakages. The amount of this bond is $300.00. If you do not have a credit card we would need an alternative bond that could be either a cheque or cash deposit. This would be subject to full refund within 7 days after completion of your holiday stay provided no claim is required to be made.
Your Responsibilities: You are responsible for the holiday home during your stay. You are expected to take all responsible care of the holiday home and at the end of the holiday to leave the property clean & tidy. This includes cleaning all utensils and equipment and disposing of all rubbish. If we find that the property has not been left clean and tidy, we may bill you for the extra time required for cleaning and deduct payment for this from your bond. We offer an optional cleaning service upon your departure which must be arranged at booking.
Damage / Accident: You are legally responsible for all breakages and damage that may occur during the holiday and any cost or repair may be billed and payment for this may also be deducted from your bond. Any damage/breakage or accident/injury must be reported to us immediately.
Procedure for Complaints: In the event that you are not entirely satisfied with your holiday, you should contact us immediately, and we will try to resolve the matter quickly.
Pets: Sorry - we have a no pet policy.
Tents: Tents are not permitted unless prior arrangements have been made.
Linen: Linen, towels and tea towels are provided for you. Bedding such as pillows, blankets and duvets are provided. You may choose to bring your own linen (eg. top and bottom sheets and pillowcases), bath towels, beach towels and tea towels.
Cleaning: It is expected that you would leave the house in the same clean and tidy condition in which you found it. We ensure the house is immaculate for your arrival and we appreciate you leaving it in the same state please. We do offer a cleaning service at an additional cost. If cleaning is required this cost will be taken from your bond.
Arrival and Departure: Please contact Blue Sky Development Trust at least 5 days prior to arrival to arrange collection of keys and signing in. The house will be ready for you from 2pm on the first day of booking. The house should be vacated by 11am the morning after your final night. If there are no conflicting bookings either side we can alter times to suit you.
